Luna Pop is an almost 2 yr old mongrel. Last Nov while playing with her friends, she tripped over some burnt sparkles left overnight after the Deepavali celebrations at our condo park. She started to display pain on her left hind leg & would limp now & then. The vet diagnosed as slight inflammation and gave her 5 days of anti-inflammatory medicine. 2 months later we didn't see improvement. Although at times she uses the limp to get attentions or to gain sympathy after misbehaving, a follow up checkup 2 weeks ago confirmed there is slight stress in her normal walking. She is observed to be placing more weight on her right hind leg.

The vet determined it to be cruciate ligament and scans and orthop-edic specialist concurred. I doubled his dose of Rose-Hip Vital, put him on bed rest while looking into non-surgical alternatives. After three days he was putting his foot down but limping on that leg. After another three days the limp disappeared. I had not yet begun any other treatments apart from rest. After another week on toileting only exercise on the lead and no sign of injury and free movement, I very cautiously let him off lead. Moving as well as he ever did. My only conclusion, in my ignorant lay terms is that he had not torn the ligament but had obviously damaged it and the bed rest and Rose-Hip Vital has at least staved off a major medical issue.
